Gamla Brut. Vintage 2018
750 ml
Gamla Brut non-vintage sparkling wine features delicate lemon, floral, lime and green apple notes. Fresh and crisp, the wine is exceptionally drinkable. We recommend enjoying Gamla Brut within a couple of years of release. The wine's naturally bright acidity makes it a great start to a meal. Try Gamla Brut with any number of rich or salty foods, such as liver pate or caviar, or with delicate foods, such as sushi.
Gamla Brut is produced in equal parts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The wine is made strictly according to the traditional method, including pressing of whole clusters and secondary fermentation in the bottle, with each bottle aging for a minimum of twelve months prior to disgorging.
The Galilee (or Galil) is the most northern, and generally considered the best appellation in Israel. The highest quality area within the appellation is the Golan Heights, the coldest region in Israel. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau rise from 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) and receive snowfall in the winter. Golan Heights Winery is located in the town of Katzrin, in the central Golan.
